Many things have happened since our last blog and we are enjoying every single one of them.

On Thursday morning Bob felt it was time as we were staying on a golf course that we had a go in the driving range. Firstly to see if his shoulder was up to playing and secondly Phil had never even held a golf club in her hand. We got a basket of balls and set off. After a very shaky start and many missed balls Phil managed to hit a ball or two, some even seems to go a long way and some were even slightly in the right direction. I am not sure if she will ever be a pro but she definitely needs some lessons before she is let loose on a golf course!

Dave and Su (Bob’s brother and wife) met up with us on the Thursday afternoon. We went out and had a look at the local area.
Parts of are beautiful even the shed we went through to carry on the road!!! We went to Jordan wine estate a boutique wine estate where we all did a wine tasting. It was not our cup of tea and we ended up not buying any of it (amazing if you know Phil!!) Sadly, the restaurant which rates in the top 10 for the area was fully booked so we drove back to Stellenbosch and Dinner in the evening was taken at the Big Easy, big old Cape Dutch house which has been converted into a restaurant is adorned with Ernie Els’ accolades and fantastic pictures. A must for any golf fan…
and it was really tasty.

We love Jordan’s too. The Seven Course Wine Pairing Menu is awesome, no wonder it books up well in advance
Yes, when we went there the wine was nice but the reds were more to my taste than the white were to Phil’s the restaurant was fully booked for days….
which was a shame 🙂
