We left Kududu and headed on the road to East London. We travelled up the sunshine coast in the rain!! We were off to meet Bob’s dad Ted and his new wife. The meeting went well and they had time to catch up. Our accommodation for the next couple of days was the 2 swans bed and breakfast. The accommodation was basic but very clean and again everyone was very friendly.

We visited many old haunts of Dave and Su and met with friends of theirs, Heather and Charlie. They made us extremely welcome and hosted a Braai for us – I am sure the first of many to come.
We visited a tomato farm owned by Charlie’s son in law Neil – he gave us a guided tour and explained how the hydroponics worked. It was all very interesting. We also visited the Lion park – what a disappointment – the lion once we had found it was very sad looking and there were very few animals there. We would not recommend it to anyone!!
We left East London very early on Friday morning for the long nine hours drive to Vanderbiltpark in Johannesburg.

The poor Big Cats in the photos were sad and lonely, the cheetah meowed like a little lost kitten, the white tiger just followed us as far as he could around the fence and the lion just kept as far way from anything as he could
The Lion could have been a stuffed toy for all it moved!
