18/01/2015 Tilba Valley Wines Tilba Tilba

We stayed at Tilba Valley Wines as the guests of Peter Herrmann he has a  lovely spot right next to a lake with the vine yards going up the valley towards the restaurant with live music 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.  When we arrived there was a private birthday going on with one of the BeeGee backing band Members performing great stuff.  On the Sunday “Hundred Acre Wood” were playing who were great  to watch and listen to over a three hour lunch (hic)

Bob decided to assist with re-launching Peters boat…too much Sauvignon Blanc and enthusiasm (that’s my excuse) ending up needing to be towed out by Ruth.

Many thanks to Peter, David and especially Ruth!

We went to the Bermagui United Church on Sunday morning at 0900 , recommended by Ruth who had asked the minister who happened to be at the above mentioned birthday lunch (lucky us).

They were really welcoming and the service was very reminiscent of ABC (Ashtead Baptist Church). Bob chatted to a chap called Chris from South Africa who it turned out was the Baptist Pastor due to take the 11 o/c service which was due to start once we had all left…

  1. Great to see your adventures and that you are having a wonderful time. I always walk through the caravan like an air hostess making sure all cupboards and fridges are closed. Looks silly but works and I only learned this as the bathroom cupboard contents met me at the door on our maiden voyage. If you are looking for your cap Bob, we have it here in Toowoomba. We will keep watch and enjoy your adventures. Love Colleen and Greg

  2. Nice to see and read your report we pass onwards your web site to all the Badminton group although noted some were already on your mail list.
